Observations of objects in the starry sky:

There are many of astronomical objects to see over a period of 40 years.  From time to time, I kept a record and wrote observation reports. A selection is presented here; these can be accessed via the "Observations" button.

Observation of comets:

Over the years, comets have become my favorite objects in the sky. Whenever a new comet is discovered, I am always eager to see the visibility forecasts and try—whenever possible—to capture the cosmic vagabond with my equipment.

Comets visible with amateur equipment always spark my interest. Sometimes the really bright ones ones remain visible in the sky for an extended period. With some comets, weather conditions allow for only a single chance to spot them.

Since my first observation of Comet Halley in the autumn of 1985, the total has reached 60 comets.
